This Privacy Policy explains how NOX Chat Bot ("the Bot," "we," "us") handles information as part of its function on NOX Gaming Network's own Discord and ARK: Survival Evolved servers. NOX Chat Bot is operated by NOX Gaming Network and is used solely on our own servers — it is not sold, licensed, or operated on behalf of any other community.
1. Private, Internal Use Only
NOX Chat Bot is not a public bot. It is not available for invite, download, purchase, or use by any other Discord server or community, and it runs exclusively on Discord servers owned and operated by NOX Gaming Network, solely to relay chat with our own ARK: Survival Evolved game servers. We do not share, sell, sublicense, or otherwise make the Bot — or any information it processes — available to any third party, server, or organization outside of NOX Gaming Network.
2. Information We Access
NOX Chat Bot is a two-way chat bridge: messages sent in a designated Discord channel are relayed into the live in-game chat of the corresponding ARK server, and messages sent in that in-game chat are relayed back into the linked Discord channel. To do this, the Bot processes:
- The content of the message being relayed
- Your Discord username/display name (shown alongside your message in-game) or your in-game character/player name (shown alongside your message in Discord)
- Discord user ID, channel ID, and server (guild) ID — used only to route the message to the correct destination
Because relaying messages between Discord and the game is the Bot's entire purpose, relayed messages are visible to other players currently in that game session or Discord channel — the same way any normal chat message would be.
3. Information We Store
NOX Chat Bot does not store, log, or retain relayed messages or any of the identifiers listed above beyond the moment needed to deliver them from one platform to the other. Messages are relayed in real time and are not saved to a database, message history, or user profile by the Bot itself. We do not use any third-party service to store or process this information on our behalf.
4. Data Sharing
The Bot is used solely on NOX Gaming Network's own Discord and game servers and is not sold, licensed, rented, or operated for any other community. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share user data with third parties, and the Bot does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or data-processing services of any kind. The only "sharing" that occurs is the Bot's core function itself — relaying a message from Discord to the linked in-game chat, or from the game to the linked Discord channel — which is visible to other players by design, the same way any normal chat message would be.
5. Cookies and Tracking
NOX Chat Bot operates entirely within Discord and does not use cookies, web beacons, or any other tracking technology.
6. Your Rights
Because no personal data is retained after a message is processed, there is generally no stored data to access, correct, export, or delete. If you believe the Bot has retained information about you in error, or you have any other question about how your information is handled, contact us using the details below and we will look into it.
7. Children's Privacy
Discord's own Terms of Service require users to meet the minimum age permitted in their country to use Discord. NOX Chat Bot does not knowingly collect information from children beyond what is described in Section 2, and does not treat any user differently based on age.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Bot after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
