These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of NOX Chat Bot ("the Bot"), a Discord bot operated by NOX Gaming Network. By inviting the Bot to a Discord server, or by interacting with the Bot in any server where it is present, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, remove the Bot from your server and discontinue use.
1. Description of Service
NOX Chat Bot is a two-way chat bridge built for NOX Gaming Network's own Discord and ARK: Survival Evolved servers. Messages sent in a designated Discord channel are relayed into the corresponding server's live in-game chat, and messages sent in-game are relayed back into that Discord channel, so players can communicate across both platforms. The Bot is operated solely for use on NOX Gaming Network's own servers — it is not sold, licensed, or made available for use on other communities' Discord or game servers. The Bot operates through Discord's API and is at all times subject to Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
2. Private, Internal Use Only
NOX Chat Bot is not a public bot and is not available for invite, download, purchase, or use by any other Discord server or community. It runs exclusively on Discord servers owned and operated by NOX Gaming Network, solely to relay chat between those Discord servers and our own ARK: Survival Evolved game servers. We do not share, sell, sublicense, rent, or otherwise make the Bot available to any third party, server, or organization outside of NOX Gaming Network, and no other party is authorized to add, host, or operate this Bot.
3. Acceptable Use
When using the Bot, you agree not to:
- Use the Bot for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
- Attempt to abuse, exploit, overload, or interfere with the Bot's operation
- Use the Bot to harass, spam, or distribute harmful or malicious content
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the Bot's source code without permission
4. Availability
The Bot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, and the Bot may become unavailable due to maintenance, Discord outages, or factors outside our control.
5. No Warranty
The Bot is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that responses generated by the Bot will be accurate, complete, or appropriate for every situation.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NOX Gaming Network and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Bot.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or block the Bot's functionality for any individual user or server, at any time and without prior notice, particularly in cases of abuse or violation of these Terms.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Bot after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable in your place of residence, to the extent required by mandatory local law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
